House Nestled in Cliff Face is Scarily Amazing

June 1, 2016 | By Danielle

Designers at Open Platform for Architecture (OPA), are proposing a house that sits high above the Aegean Sea with a towering glass wall that overlooks the ocean. Casa Brutale, meaning brutal house, is made with wood, glass, and concrete, and is nestled into the rock sitting flush with its face.

The roof is pretty much a huge skylight with a glass-bottomed pool on top.

Heat comes from thermal insulation from the surrounding ground, and the cooling comes from the swimming pool.

“Casa Brutale redefines the harmonious coexistence of human and nature in a poetic homage to pure Brutalism,” say the designers on their webpage.

It hasn’t been built yet, but we’re sure James Bond would be in the market for something like this!
