This is the Only Shop of its Kind in the USA

August 30, 2016 | By David Clarke

When you think of shops in the USA, most are fairly similar to one another. All grocery stores are pretty similar as are most sporting goods stores, clothing stores and basically any other kind of store you can think of.

However, there is a music shop in the Historical District that is unlike any other in the USA (and maybe the world). The shop is called Liberty Bellows Accordion Shop, and yes, they specialize in accordions.

In fact, it is one of the best and largest accordion shops on the planet and the experience in the store is nothing like you have ever experienced. The owner of the shop, Michael Bulboff is a true expert on the instrument and has loved them for a long time.

He first picked one up in memory of his father, who used to play one. And after taking it up, he soon realized that there were people out there who had an interest in the instrument and wanted lessons, and he felt there was a niche to be created here, and so he created it.

Not only does Liberty Bellows sell and buy a wide array of accordions, but the store also has open practice nights and even open mics nights for anyone to come out and practice or hone their skills on the unique and historic instrument. The owner is even passing down the tradition of the instrument to his three-year-old son, who will surely be a master on it sooner rather than later.

At the end of this article, there is an amazing video that gives you more about the story behind this shop and teaches you a bit more about it and who runs it. This shop truly is one of the most unique we have ever seen and is definitely a cool spot if you want to learn to play the instrument or even just learn a bit more about it.
