We’ve all heard stories from ancient times biblical plagues of locusts so vast that they blot out the sun itself, but those are really just supposed to be legends, right? Nope.

This video was captured in Russia. At first it looks like a massive dust storm, but as the camera gets closer, the truth slowly becomes apparent… and it’s horrifying.

Locusts have already destroyed over 70,000 acres of land — over 10% of Russia’s farmland. Let’s hope they fly away soon or who knows what’s going to happen!
