WATCH: Man’s Giant Ball Pit Encourages People to Make Time for Fun
Adulting is hard, and life is busy. You have meetings, expectations are placed on you, and you have a whole host of responsibilities that just aren’t fun. That’s why it’s so important to take time to unwind, have fun, and reset. Unfortunately, most of us don’t make time for the fun stuff, and if we do, we don’t prioritize it nearly enough. And Americans are the worst offenders; 52 percent of Americans reported leaving paid time off on the table in 2017, according to Project: Time Off. That’s better than 2016, but we can do better. In the meantime, Mark Gagnon, for one, is doing his part to get us to make time to unwind and have a little fun. How? The comedian built a giant ball pit in downtown Orlando.
Yeah, you read that right. Remember the giant ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese’s? Yes? Well, Gagnon and his friends built their own right on the street in Orlando. As people pass by — mostly men in suits or other people clearly on their way to and from work — he asks them one simple question: “Are you too busy to have fun?” The question clearly gives many pause, as you’ll see in the video. Who really wants to answer “no” to that? While we all want to think that we’d make time for some summertime sidewalk fun, albeit just for a few moments, not many take Gagnon up on his offer to dive into the pit.
Those who do clearly have a blast, though. At one point there’s even a little floof chillaxing in the pit. Gagnon gets a few of the men to open up with some pretty poignant questions, but we don’t want to spoil the video. Take a look to see what they say, and how they feel about the stresses of everyday life. Would you take 10 minutes to dive into a ball pit on the side of the road? Let us know why or why not, and don’t forget to SHARE this video with any friends getting bogged down with work! They’ll appreciate the break!
