If you ever read, saw, or knew about the Polar Express when you were young, we’re guessing you wanted to take a ride on it. If you go to Branson, Missouri, at Christmastime, you can! The Branson Scenic Railway offers the Polar Express ride from November to New Years’ day, and like the book, they hand out hot chocolate and cookies on the train. Santa also makes an appearance to read passengers the classic story! Of course, that’s not all there is to do. There are several light tours, 700 Christmas trees (including a 50-foot special-effects tree), live music shows, and an Old Time Christmas festival. They also have a Homecoming Week for veterans. There is no better place to experience an Ozark Mountain Christmas!
